The La Porte Bulldogs set a new school record for points when they scored 69 points against the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots. The offense was able to secure a quick lead on the 3rd play of the game when
Jhamaud Jackson connected with
Keenan Lawrence for 67 yards. Jackson would throw two touchdowns to
Landon Kay and one 38-yard touchdown to
Caden Hisatake. The run game was just as effective as the passing game as
Tyresse Barnes would have a three-touchdown night,
Bryce Cole would score on a long QB sneak, and
Leland Tran would find the endzone last and set the new school record for points scored in a game. The Bulldog defense continued to be a turnover machine as they blocked punts, had some forced fumbles by
Zachary Gragg and
Tyran Williams and had an interception by Austyn Leal to ensure a comfortable lead at halftime. The defense played stingy, only allowing 17 points to a team averaging 44 points a game. The Bulldogs look to build on this dominant performance next week when they take on Baytown Lee for the second district game of the year at Stallworth Stadium.
