On Wednesday, August 28th the La Porte Bulldogs 2-1 (0-1) suffered their first lost of the season against district rivals the North Shore Mustangs 5-2 (1-0). The game started off with a Mustang score just 15 seconds in the game. Senior Coby Chauvette answered right back with a goal of his own to tie the game at one. North Shore scored again to go up 2-1, and Coby Chauvette scored his second goal of the game to again tie it. After that Bulldog score it was all North Shore from there. Junior Jake Gazaw scored a penalty goal to make the score 3-6 to close out the 1st quarter. La Porte Bulldogs did not score again until early in the 3rd quarter with Senior Zachary Carroll scored his first goal of the season. Jake Gazaw scored his second goal late in the 3rd quarter to make the game 5-11. The final score was North Shore 11, La Porte 5
