Both La Porte Water Polo teams were back in action on Wednesday Night in front of a nearly packed house. This night was also the teams' Teacher Appreciation Night. The athletes spoke about a teacher that had the most impact on their lives thus far. Thank you for those teachers that were able to make it to the game.

This was a slow start to the game. Baytown scored twice before the Bulldogs got on the board with an assist from Senior goalie
Riley Koonce to Sophomore
Jaime Reyes and scored to end the quarter 1-4, with our Senior
Jackson Thralls having two saves and
Riley Koonce having three saves during the first quarter. However, during the second quarter the Bulldogs woke up and scored five times and held Baytown to only three goals. The Bulldogs scored four straight goals in 2:35, with great ball movement from Senior
Zachary Carroll, Sophomore
Ean Lopez, Freshman
Lucas Prigmore, and Sophomore
Jaime Reyes. Senior
Coby Chauvette scored the last goal in the quarter for the Bulldogs to end the quarter on a 5-3 bringing the score to 6-7. During that scoring run, Senior Goalie
Riley Koonce had two assists and three blocks, Senior
Coby Chauvette had one assist, Freshman
Lucas Prigmore had two assists, and Senior
Zachary Carroll adding a steal to his stat line. The start of the third quarter was slow for both teams. Even though the Bulldogs held Baytown to two goals, they did not get a goal until the end of the quarter, and that goal came from a steal by Senior
Coby Chauvette as he swam down the pool to score the goal. Senior
Jackson Thralls went on to record another block and Senior
Riley Koonce kept the game close by recording five blocks. With the Bulldogs down by three to start the fourth quarter, they did not stop pushing their way to win the game. They scored three times, twice from Sophomore
Jaime Reyes and once from Senior
Zachary Carroll. During the fourth quarter the Bulldogs also recorded assists from Senior
Coby Chauvette and Sophomore
Jaime Reyes, two steals and a save from Senior
Jackson Thralls and Senior
Zachary Carroll, thus ending our battle with Senior
Riley Koonce recording 13 saves total during the game.
