Both La Porte Water Polo teams were back in action on Wednesday Night in front of a nearly packed house. This night was also the teams' Teacher Appreciation Night. The athletes spoke about a teacher that had the most impact on their lives thus far. Thank you for those teachers that were able to make it to the game.
 
The game started off with a back-and-forth battle. It was not until 2:34 left in the first quarter when Freshman Natalie Chavez scored to make the Bulldogs up 1-0. Baytown quickly followed up with a goal of their own to tie the game at 1-1. Three more goals were scored between the two teams within the next minute to finish the first quarter out with the Bulldogs trailing 3-2. Sophomore Adilyn Smith had a steal and Senior Goalie Lillian Woolard had two blocks to keep the score low. The Bulldogs went into a slump and scored only once with an assist by Senior Gabriella Kirk passing the ball to Freshman Natalie Chavez for the goal to make the score 3-6 at halftime. Natalie also had two steals and Senior Daisy Sanchez and Junior Allie Pilkerton had one steal apiece. Lillian Woolard added three more blocks to her total. In the third quarter, the Bulldogs went to work. Senior Gabriella scored 4 times, and Freshman Natalie Chavez scored 2 times. Scoring six times to shrink the deficit to 9-10. In that quarter Gabriella had 2 more assists and Junior Allie Pilkerton recorded a block as well. Bulldogs Goalie, Lillian Woolard, also went to work and had four blocks in the quarter. The start of the fourth quarter, Natalie scored in 47 seconds to tie the game at 10-10. The Bulldogs would score one more time on an assist from Freshman Natalie Chavez to Senior Gabriella Kirk to end the game with a final score of 11-12, with Senior Lillian Woolard recording 12 saves during the game.
