La Porte Bulldogs went up against the Mustangs of North Shore High School Monday night. North Shore went up 2-0 before Sophomore

Riley Koonce to cut the Mustangs lead in half to make it 1-2 with 2:55 left in the 1
st quarter. North Shore would answer again to finish the first quarter with a 3-1 lead.
Riley Koonce was busy and recorded 6 saves. The 2
nd quarter was not much different than the 1
st quarter. Mustangs and Bulldogs scored once. La Porte got a goal from Sophomore
Jake Gazaw to make the score 3-2 North Shore. The assist was by Senior
Zachary Carroll with 5:48 left in the 2
nd quarter. Senior
Coby Chauvette had a chance to tie the game with a 5-meter penalty shot, but the shot was block by North Shore's goalie. The Mustangs answered back with their own goal to go into halftime leading the Bulldogs 4-2.
Riley Koonce had another great quarter with 6 more saves.
Zachary Carroll also added a steal and Senior
Jackson Thralls added a block in the quarter. During the 3
rd quarter, the Bulldogs kept the game close by scoring 3 times. Those goals came from
Coby Chauvette,
Zachary Carroll and
Jake Gazaw. One assist came from
Jake Gazaw and two came from
Coby Chauvette. North Shore answered right back with 4 goals of their own to end the 3
rd quarter 5-8.
Zachary Carroll added another steal in the quarter. The start of the 4
th quarter, North Shore was just to fast for the Bulldogs to keep up and scored 3 times. For the Bulldogs,
Zachary Carroll scores the only goal in the quarter from the assist by
Coby Chauvette. The final score was North Shore 11, La Porte 6. Ean had a steal and
Zachary Carroll added a third steal and 2 blocks in the quarter.
