The Bulldogs commenced district play last Tuesday night against the 2024 District 10 Champions, North Shore High School Mustangs. North Shore currently holds a season record of 1-4, while La Porte is at 4-3. The Bulldogs are on a three-game losing streak against North Shore.

North Shore started the game strongly, scoring three consecutive goals to take an early 3-0 lead. La Porte responded with their first goal, assisted by Sophomore Lucas Prigmore to Junior Jake Gazaw, bringing the score to 3-1. North Shore then went on another 3-0 run, concluding the first quarter with a 6-1 advantage. In the second quarter, La Porte rallied, scoring three times, two by Lucas Prigmore and one by Jake Gazaw, with assists from both Lucas and Jake. Jake also recorded a steal, and Sophomore Gary Jordan also contributed an assist. La Porte's sophomore goalie, Douglas Robb, made four saves during this period, limiting North Shore to three goals. In the third quarter, La Porte continued their offensive momentum, scoring four more goals. Lucas Prigmore tallied three goals, supported by one from Jake Gazaw. North Shore responded with six goals, making the score 15-9.

During the final quarter, La Porte remained aggressive and resilient, pushing to close the gap. Lucas Prigmore recorded his fifth assist of the game, setting a new single-game record. He also scored two more goals, bringing his total to eight for the game. Jake Gazaw contributed an additional goal, totaling five for the game. Douglas Robb made two more saves, bringing his total to eight for the match. North Shore scored four more goals in the quarter, resulting in a final score of 19-13 in favor of North Shore.
