La Porte High School made program history on Monday, August 10, hosting its first-ever water polo tournament. The inaugural round-robin tournament featured six teams: La Porte, Klein, Klein Oak, Baytown Sterling, North Shore, and Southwest Legacy. The tournament featured an action-packed 12-hour, nine-game lineup, with both the La Porte boys and girls teams competing multiple times throughout the day.
The La Porte Boys opened the tournament by facing Klein Oak in the first game of the day before returning to the pool for Game 3 against Klein. The La Porte Girls followed with their first match up of the tournament against Klein Oak in Game 2 and closed out the entire tournament in the ninth and final game against Southwest Legacy.
