The La Porte Bulldogs competed in the FISD Sprint Kickoff at Friendswood High School on Saturday. There were 6 teams that were competing. Three of them are 6A schools and three are 5A school, one of those schools came in 4^th in UIL State in 2024. "This swim had events we normally do not swim at swim meets, so it was a nice change for the swimmers." Coach Stewart said.
    Both Girl's and Boy's Medley Relays came in 11^th and 13^th places. In the Girl's 50 yard Freestyle event, Senior Daisy Sanchez improved her time by 0.88 seconds. The Boy's 50 yard Freestyle there were two Bulldogs the posted a new personal record, Freshman Lucas Prigmore and Freshman Jacob Smith went almost 2 second faster. The 50 yard Backstroke Sophomore Jaime Reyes went 0.86 faster while Freshman Cole Bailey dropped 2.50 seconds! The 100 yard Freestyle showed Freshman Mika Morales went faster by 0.76 and Junior Alexandra Pilkerton improved by 3 seconds. In the Boy's 100 yard Freestyle Lucas Prigmore destroyed his previous time and dropping over 8 seconds. The 50 yard Breaststroke event had Freshman Natalie Chavez and Senior Lillian Woolard both got faster by 1.47 and 1.40 seconds. There were only 3 swimmers in the Boy's 50 yard Butterfly Senior Riley Koonce (-1.41), Senior Coby Chauvette (-5.25), and Sophomore Jake Gazaw (-2.90) all went faster
