Last night was the last time LPHS Swimmers will swim in their home pool. Everyone here at LPHS Aquatics would like to thank you for your commitment, dedication, loyalty, and all the sacrifices you have made to be apart of this program. THANK YOU!
 
 
In the 200 yard Freestyle, Junior Claire Underwood came in 2^nd and improved her time by 3.23 seconds to drop her time under 3 minutes! Sophomore Jake Gazaw came in 1^st and Sophomore Jaime Reyes finished 3^rd. La Porte had two swimmers in the 200 Individual Medley, Senior Lillian Woolard and Sophomore Amelie Mastan came in 1^st and 2^nd. Seniors Kayla Juarez and Gabriella Kirk, Juniors Isabella Huerta and Alexandra Pilkerton, and Freshman Mika Morales all finished in the top 10 in the Girls 50 Freestyle and scored 12 points for La Porte. On the Boys side of the 50 Freestyle Seniors Riley Koonce and Jackson Thralls, and Freshmen Lucas Prigmore and Cole Bailey finished in 3^rd-6^th. All of them improved their time by at least 0.61 and are now all under 30 seconds. The 100 yard Freestyle had 2 girls and 4 boys. Isabella Huerta and Sophomore Adilyn Smith finished in the top 5 while Riley Koonce and Jackson Thralls took 2^nd and 3^rd. Sophomore Ean Lopez and Freshman Lucas Prigmore finished 5^th and 6^th. The longest race of the day, 500 yard Freestyle, saw Sophomore Amelie Mastan and Junior Claire Underwood take 2^nd and 3^rd. Claire continues to drop time and has dropped 11.50 more seconds to bring her 500 yard time from 9:23.81 to 8:15.35. Freshman Natalie Chavez saw her first swim meet coming back from injury and took 4^th. Big congrats to Freshman Mika Morales and Junior Alexandra Pilkerton for swimming the 500 yard Freestyle for the first time! In the Boys 500 yard Freestyle Senior Coby Chauvette and Sophomore Jake Gazaw finish 2^nd and 3^rd and Freshman Cole Bailey swam this event for the first time and finished 4^th. Sophomore Jaime Reyes came in 5^th. To finish off the swim meet in the 100 yard Backstroke and the 100 Breaststroke. Freshman Natalie Chavez and Senior Gabriella Kirk finished 1^st and 3^rd in the 100 Backstroke. Sophomore Ean Lopez took 2^nd as the only La Porte boy in the 100 Backstroke. Senior Lillian Woolard finished 1^st in the 100 yard Breaststroke and Sophomore Adilyn Smith came in 3^rd. Senior Coby Chauvette was the only La Porte buy in the 100 yard Breaststroke and took 1^st.
