Last night LPHS Girls Water Polo 4-1 (1-1) were in action against Deer Park. The Deer started the game off fast and did not let up. La Porte Girls scored their first goal in the second quarter by Senior Gabriella Kirk to make the score 1-7. Freshman Natalie Chavez scored her first high school district goal in the fourth quarter for a 2-18. Natalie also had a steal to go along with her goal. Senior Gabriella Kirk scored again in the fourth quarter to finish the game with a score of 3-23. She also had 1 steal, 1 assist, and 2 block shots. Senior Goalie Lillian Woolard (2023 Goalie of the Year) did everything she can to stop the Deer from scoring. She had 9 blocks on the night. Sophomore Adilyn Smith and Junior Alexandra Pilkerton had one steal apiece.
